the Houston Texans are facing a new lawsuit from former cheerleaders this is the second lawsuit filed against the team but this time a big name is behind it at noon we heard from attorney Gloria Allred who was in Humble today to announce the details of that second lawsuit channel 2’s Ryan Coors guard had a chance to examine the print out of that lawsuit this afternoon he joins us now live Ryan and this is that lawsuit five women are involved in they’re claiming that they were underpaid bullied and even threatened holding a white t-shirt with $7.25 on the front attorney Gloria Allred said this is what five former Texans cheerleaders earned per hour the Houston Texans organization is worth billions of dollars it pays its players hundreds of millions of dollars a year while paying these hard-working women $7.25 an hour lesson they would earn if they worked at McDonald’s less than what the parking attendants of the stadium earned Allred says five clients all former Texans cheerleaders were paid minimum wage for maximum effort Kelly nooners said that the Texans organization took advantage of her by not paying for some working activities things like practices travel expenses and training camp little did I know that the Houston Texans would take advantage of me and my teammates I remember feeling puzzled and angry and asking myself why we didn’t deserve to be paid more than $7.25 an hour for what was a demanding job Allred’s law firm in Los Angeles along with the Spurlock law firm in Humble filed this lawsuit in federal court today it claims the coach who supervised – the cheerleaders body shamed the women once remarking I see a lot of jiggle jiggle the lawsuit also asks for back pay and we checked with the Texans they tell us they are proud of their cheerleading program saying that hundreds of women have enjoyed their experience and they say they are constantly evaluating the procedures and will make adjustments as needed we’re live at NRG Ryan Coors guard KPRC Channel 2 News
