Basic Cheerleading Stunting : Counting in Cheerleading & Stunting

In this video segment, we’re going to talk
about counts and how they can be used in loading for cheerleading. We’ll also be giving attention
to the different counts for the different bases and for the flier. Right now we’re going
to talk about the counting for stunts. Basic count goes five six seven eight, one two three
four five six seven eight. Now what this looks like for bases, we’re going to be at each
other face to face, we’re going to clasp on one two, down on three four, I’m going to
go ahead and grab the foot on three four, we’re going to bounce five six, the other
foot’s going to come in on seven eight, we’re going to absorb that on seven eight, up one
two. Now with the flier and the back spotter are doing on those counts, is we’re all going
to clasp on one two, flier’s going to grab shoulders on three four, at this time she’s
bringing her leg up, back spot is grabbing the back here. OK, that’s three four, she’s
going to bounce five six, second foot comes in on seven, she goes down, she stands up
and hits a high V on one. Let’s see what this looks like. Five six seven eight, one two
three four five six seven eight, one two. Alright let’s going ahead and lock off and
down.

  1. Horrible basing she don't step into the stunt the flyer jumps into both hands then straight up to the half they also should have mentioned that the bases should use eye contact and work together and that to make it easier for the bases and back spots to push off the bases shoulders and hold her own weight instead of letting the bases and back-spot do all the work. I'd never want to base with these people also why didn't they just bump her down it's way easier.
