  1. This is fu*ked up dude if I was her I would literally smacked this guy across his face I know that the teachers at schools put kids at risk for them to benefit 😩🙏

  2. This isn’t “teenagers” it’s a teenager that’s screaming, she wasn’t forced because it was voluntary, every girl there can argue to that

  3. This guy loved to watch the pain. He got off by doing it. Clearly he is mentally disturbed and dangerous.

  4. I watched a video with the coach in to and it’s stretching,it hurts. He didn’t do anything wrong. He held her up. You can also tell that both are lying because they are looking the other way. Also, she was doing cartwheels 2 days later at the same camp. She didn’t do anything to her ligaments, they are liars. Nobody knows the whole story behind it.

  5. She. Is. Lying.

All white valley girls accusing this BLACK male coach of “Child Abuse.” Hmmmmm 😒😒😒
She was LITERALLY doing cartwheels, WITH A SMILE, two days later.
Split training is just like working out. Tissue tearing and reforming is apart of strength training.
We ALL had to go through breaking. 😒 She’s just not meant to cheer.

Also….. Matt Lauer saying something is “Too Much/ Overline” is hilariously ironic.

  6. The coatch did nothing wrong, he was supporting the girl, and of couse he pushed her he was trying to keep her posture, I can't relate since I was able to do splits in 2nd grade and Im 13 bdw,

  7. the kid claimed permanent damage but video shows her doing gymnastics just 24 hours later. women lie for attention nothing new

  8. This is not ok I'm a really flexible person,
And how far she was doing the splits hurt a lot of people even how flexible or, non flexible you are if your a dancer or cheerleader be aware of your actions……

  9. you can literally see the girl on her left laughing behind the blur on her face!! how are these people not in jail already??

  10. That's how power stretching works. She won't learn to do splits without being forced to do it unless she wants to spend 3 years for learning how to do it without pain…

  11. But this is normal in other countries, isn’t it? Still, that doesn’t excuse it. This shouldn’t happen to anyone.

  12. Poor kid she shouldn't have to be forced to do the splits by a grown man infact it doesn't matter if she can't do the splits he should of stopped when she was screaming out in pain and he was just egnoring her it's just wrong please stop

  13. Try having a grown man pushing down a 10 year old in a even higher elevated split to stretch her. Yep this is how all flyers and cheerleaders are stretched everyone crabs at one point

  14. My friend was also forced to get in the split and was pushed down…She told me the horrible pain but it was her own choice she could choose. She could get pushed or she could learn it slowely. Her sister learned it Slowely. But this girl. Screaming of agony. HOW COULD HE DO THIS TO HER!?!?!?!?!?!?!!

  15. I don't get why it is such a big deal. He just wanted her to stretch and he already warned them that it will be painful

  16. Yea!! Sue them all! Sue all of them! and Sue of them all! Them all sue of! of sue them all! And all sue of them! Or!! Just tell this girl she's got one month to get all her splits in order, and if she doesn't make the dead line toss her high in the sky and have the black girls moss the catch..

  17. He is holding her up in the proper position this is all bias information did you ever feel like hearing the coach’s point of view

  18. I'm pretty sure that's how you learn to do splits. Usually as very young kids when its easier, not as a teenager. Its always going to be painful, its not something your body just does naturally. If the kid is screaming to stop, you should stop….but if you can't do splits, don't be a cheerleader! Cuz it's gonna hurt!

  19. She wasn’t forced she chose before they did this if they wanted to do it or not. He even said that there was pain to come and she said that she wanted to do it. He didn’t do anything wrong m, he’s just doing the best for their cheerleading careers

  20. People are saying don't make it a race thing… BUT if it were a black girl and white students and a white coach , YOU KNOW , IT WOULD BECOME A RACE THING. Black people pull the race card all the time.

  21. Idk if everyone knows the story but he did an interview and he was actually supporting her up and not pusher her down but I get she was yelling so he should have stopped

  22. AS A RETIRED TRAINER AND COACH, THIS VIDEO IS DISTURBING. And, if anyone wants an understanding of why, please read my long post. It might help any young girls facing this type of nonsense.

I have done passive stretching as a personal trainer and coach for over 30 years, and anyone who has been educated in human movement understands how the body protects itself from having joints pushed beyond their mobility limits.

What we look for is that point of “slight discomfort”. That is where the first passive assistance ends on the initial stretch. You are working with the client, and continually monitoring them. Once I ascertained that point I am able to safely continue with the stretches, using that point as my guide.

THE GOAL OF PASSIVE STRETCHING IS TO GRADUALLY AND PROGRESSIVELY INCREASE JOINT MOBILITY. But, the trainer must have comprehensive knowledge on neuromuscular responses. That pain that the athlete feels is a sign that the force of the stretch must stop, and be held until the athlete notes a diminish in that discomfort. Each successive stretch is based on the previous one, and as it gradually improves you increase the joint angle with gentle pressure. All stretches have a limit. The trainer must determine that limit as it is, not as he thinks it should be.

The physiological basis to this (Active-Isolated) stretching follows the body’s natural responses. The discomfort that the athlete feels is the agonist muscle protecting the joint from injury. You can no longer stretch that muscle when this happens (golgi tendon organ). The tendons will stretch, but not the muscle fibers. YOU DO NOT WANT TO PLACE THE TENSION ON THE TENDONS! They do not like to be stretched. They are not made to be stretched. Their job is to hold the muscle to the bone. While that young girl is screaming all of the external forces are on the vulnerable tendons (and ligaments, which connect bone to bone). The proprioceptors are sending out alarms in the form of pain. They want you to stop! Heed the warning!

Forcing an athlete into pain is not only inappropriate it is ineffective. I understand that Russian ballerinas use forced stretching, and find success with it. But, these girls have world class joint mobility to begin with, and the splits, middle splits, and oversplits are necessary for their advanced dance movements. I see no value to oversplits for tumbling. Cheerleaders do use side splits, but rarely need middle splits, or oversplits. Girls are born with that type of flexibility. You can improve what God has given them, but you cannot force it on those that he has not.

  23. Does it really look like hes pushing down? Besides why would you dedicate your life to becoming a coach in a sport if you just wanna hurt people? Get a brain people

  24. This girl's mom says that she damaged her limbs and legs, but the next 2 days. She did a cartwheel.
And no, the coach doesnt push her, if you see the video, he just hold him

  25. If she was relaxed and they did it calm and with agreement then it‘s true that it‘s a good method to some point.
Obviously here it‘s an other case.
But if you want to attend your splits you have to be relaxed and calm. If you are Stressed and contract your muscles you‘re gonna get hurt.
But if you‘re relaxed as I said it can help to have someone push you down till your limits but not OVER your limits to the point of crying and screaming.

  26. I’m a gymnastics coach and this is actually insane. He wasn’t pushing her down as hard as he could he was trying to square her hips so she could have proper placements. Her fighting against him and tensing up is what actually makes it worse. If you stay relaxed your hamstrings and other muscles are easier to stretch. This is literally what a day in the gym looks like. It’s not for everyone and it’s not always going to be easy. I coach girls way younger then her and they understand and react way better then this. I’m not saying it isn’t painful but it’s not a “bad” pain it’s stretching. If you can’t handle this you shouldn’t be in this type of sport.

  27. Can we think about this? We don't know the full story, I really feel like if they can't do the splits they shouldn't be on the team lmao

Also, they weren't " forced " he was supporting them, showing what position they can do to help with the splits. Also, she did cartwheels 2 DAYS AFTER. By stop they mean to hold that pose for a few seconds. https://youtu.be/yc8RsZcILcg

  28. She was apparently able to do a cartwheel 2 days later according to an Inside Edition video I watched. Also, why would she join the cheer squad if she can't do the splits? That's so dumb.

  29. This dude is innocent, there are videos on it… If this is so painful for her, how can she do cartwheels and jumps 2 days later? The video for that is online too.

  30. Everyone who is saying “if she is crying during splits then why are you on the cheer team” are absolute dumbasses

  31. What annoys me the most in society these days is that people who watch one side of the story stay on that side instead of listening to the other one. Before you even judge the coach and the cheerleader, listen to BOTH sides of the story! Don't just take one side in a snap.
What actually happened was that this cheerleader did the splits and she couldn't get up. The coach and the other people WEREN'T abusing her! They were helping her get up. Also, if the cheerleader is doing cartwheels and a bunch of other splits the next day, how is she in pain? The coach was just trying to help her; he wasn't being abusive AT ALL

  32. If you are too weak to handle pain then don’t join a sports team 😒. How do you expect to be better if you only stay in your comfort zone 🙄

  33. Blame it also on the mom living though her daughter eyes of pain and suffering as she crys blame it on her mom tonight

  34. He was not pushing down on her. She is lying. He was helping her into a proper position so she would not injure herself. She freaked out and was hurting herself. Everything she said happen is a 100% lie.

  35. You should probably check out the coaches side of the story before you go all nuts because you see a white girl crying…..maybe do some research on gymnastics prior to judging?

  36. Y’all need to claim down that mane didn’t do anything how are you going to go to a camp and not be able to do splits you can tell he wasn’t even pushing down on her

  37. There not being forced its gymnastics what'd they expect ice cream and butter fly's stretching hurts get over it btw she lied about the tissues being ripped she was caught doing splits and backflips 2 days after

  38. This bothers me because I was a gymnast for seven and a half years. The splits hurt. When I needed to get my splits I was pushed down by my coaches. I never tore anything but was sore the next day. This girl also signed up to be there so if she was asked to do it and she did it the coach shouldn't be blamed. He was holding her up and putting her in the right position so that she wouldn't get hurt.

  39. I'm pretty sure that most athletes have been in pain and cried during their training and had their coaches push them. Weather you watch the Olympics or a Ballet you have to know there was pain and perseverance required to reach that level of excellence. Who wouldn't look at a ballerina's feet and say they've been abused? But who would try to sue the dance teacher for it?

I don't know about cheering but the coach said that in this situation "stop" meant that is where she wanted them to stop and hold her split at, not to totally quit the training. (is this so?) also she was doing cart wheels 2 days later, so they are liars.

If people treat their coaches like this, no one is going to achieve excellence anymore. Watch was happens to the quality of athletes if coaches get scared out of doing their jobs.

  40. That’s like joining boxing but crying when you get punched I am a cheerleader and stretching hurts but your not going to get better or flexible by just watching but the funny thing about this video the mom saying the teacher was “ripping” tissue in her body but the girl was doing cartwheels two days later??? Like get out with that mess doing get mad at people for doing their job

  41. They ain’t show her doing cartwheels 2 days later…. girl if you trying to be a cheerleader what you expect? Try tennis sis cause that’s what cheerleaders do
