Speaker 1: When you’ve worked with the stunt
strap and you want to start working with the scorpion, basically if you’re borderline,
you’re a little wobbly and you can’t quite get it, the way that we use the stunt strap
is by pulling a little bit less than what you actually need to get the scorpion so your
body loosens up. All right so when she attempts to do the scorpion, let’s show them real quick.
So when she attempts to do the scorpion, before she ever drops her chest, go ahead and try
one. Before she ever drops her chest, she’s already in that position, okay. So you want
to duplicate this. Yeah, get the leg and go on up. You see how she’s borderline?
We are going to use the stunt strap now. Go ahead and get strapped in. We want to get
in the same position before you drop your chest. A lot of people kind of get the urge
to drop your chest and start crawling up the strap. We don’t want to change the form of
the scorpion; we just want to make it a little more efficient and stretch your body out.
So see how she’s getting in the position before she rocks? That’s all right, get your center.
There you go. Good. Now she is able to be just a little less stretched and she can actually
hold the position. So let’s try one more time. Let’s break it down a little bit. So get in
that position where your leg is up high and you’re about ready to drop your chest, okay.
So she’s going to work her way down the straps. She’s got her leg good and tight. Now she’s
in the same position as when she’s ready to roll over. So go ahead and rock forward and
get your center. Get your center. There you go. That’s alright. Let’s try it again. Get
reset. It takes practice. You’ve got to keep working all right. So we work our way up the
strap. Our chest is still up and then when you’re in a position and you’re centered,
work your chest out and get in the position of the scorpion. Good. Now, the strap is giving
her just that little bit less tense, you know, a little bit less pull on her body so that
she can actually maintain that position and over time she’s going to be a little more
flexible and be able to hold the scorpion.
