Controversy over school’s all-inclusive cheerleading policy

♪ ♪>>Juan: A NEW JERSEY HIGH SCHOOL UPSETTING STUDENTS AND SOME PARENTS AFTER IMPLEMENTING A NEW POLICY TO MAKE THE CHEERLEADING TEAM MORE INCLUSIVE. 1. I agree with this policy. If we give affirmative action and include transgender into bathroom of their choosing then it's open season on literally everything that exist.

  2. Communism only looks good on paper, in practical use it doesn't work. Remember that as this country heads towards communism πŸ˜‚

  3. Whats next the basketball team , air line pilots , med school ? Can we all be president ? We don't want to hurt anybodys feewings.

We need padded rooms for the snow flake pc sjw's before they destroy our country… GROW UP AND SUCK IT UP BIOTCH !

  4. Love Gutfield's reaction. lol.
Is this cheerleading "ado" about getting the job or is it about social perception. It sounds like the school was concerned about social perception and maybe skill building in people who might not otherwise have access. Just a thought.

  5. I agree with Jesse. Try harder to make the team. If you can't make the grade you shouldn't play the game.

  6. You should make it on skill not effort. I was kept from baseball my entire life even though I've wanted to play the sport. My dad wouldn't let me. I eventually got to where I was living with my mom and was able to play. Try outs came before I could practice. I didn't have anything to practice anyways. I didn't make the team. That made me push harder to make it next time. I knew I wasn't good enough. I might not have practiced as much or as hard if I made the team. I got as a manager for Varsity and JV and practiced and practiced. All of that made me a better player. I knew what I needed to do on the field to be successful. Eventually I was able to be on the team. I got good enough. Not only that but I was a starter. On JV. That's with one month of improvement. Improvement that would not have happened if I just made the team. I would have still practiced because it's what I wanted. But I would not have worked as hard as I did. If not making the team of group or event discourages you and makes you give up and not want to keep trying, than you never were never meant to do It. You should start looking at something else. If you truly want something you will do whatever it takes to be good enough. Not whatever it takes to force yourself onto the team.

  7. Well I was a cheerleader back in high school. You had to tried out for it. Some made and some didn't .That life !

  8. Are RETARDS taking over the world?
Is that it, am I missing something
why did I not get a note on this…

  9. Libtard logic – Everyone becomes a cheerleader or no one does. – Also libtard logic – We have to exclude whites and asians from college so we can take more blacks and muslims. – God libtards are hypocritical morons.

  10. "WHERES THE PROOF OF COLLUSION/CONSPIRACY??"
    BREAKING NEWS:
Cohen received $500,000 by a Russian oligarch in the months after the election…This is very interesting and will be fun to watch cohen and Trump Squirm!!!

dems are loving this!!! Trump supporters miserable!!!

  11. T-ball has made it all the way to high school. Now that everyone is starting to realize everything is a rigged manipulated fraud keep as many as distracted and happy for as long as possible. When the so called elite globalists roll out their mass murder plans they hate whiners not because they care but because they're psychopaths.

  12. So, sport will have to be banned entirely or the liberal desired route could be taken but football teams with a tens of millions of players will require collosal planning 24/7 by another team of hundreds of thousands. This is the natural course of "progressive politics".

  13. Parents ruin all sports. So damn competitive…. My kids go to highschool and they always trip when their kids don't make it or get kicked out or don't win..

  14. I had a male boss that was a cheerleader in collage. He could have played football, big dude.He joined cheerleading to travel with the hot chicks on away games and was at the bottom of the pyramids or whatever holding them up with his hand in their crotch…hahaha

  15. Well, we have girls in boy scouts, fat ugly kids in cheerleading (boys and girls), welcome to equality ladies.

  16. This is the first time any of them have heard about stuff like this. 15yr been doing this not keep score , everyone get metal ,no Honor society in school. Can't hurt thier feel bads. Halfassness is the way of the future. The slow down fall that no one hears..

  17. That's incredibly stupid. I wanna be a pro football player, but I don't want to actually be good enough to be one. It is political correctness run wild, but right now it's just local. Just wait till more schools pick up these policies.

  18. Bring on the boys,,,, cry babies wander into the Boy Scouts…Cheer leaders Guys… NFL,, haha, I Hope it comes

  19. So if a 300 pound liberal land-whale wants to be the top of the pyramid on a cheerleading squad, we have to allow that because we don't want to hurt someone's feelings?

  20. I thought the Pep Clubs were established to alleviate this problem. Why not have the Pep Club rather than the cheerleaders select the cheerleaders?

  21. In the 50"s both men snd women were on cheerlesfing squad. Whilr women usually wore team skirt and blouse men wote team slacks with shirt snd vest and yelled through a big horn.

  22. Dana, can you find out what the U.S military does with it's old bulletproof combat vests? I watched a "Police K9 takedowns" video and only one of the dogs was wearing a protective vest.I understand that Police departments aren't well funded.I also understand that an ex-military vest could be modified to fit a dog.Combat dogs have bulletproof vests,so you'd have a template to work with.If you and your best friend had to run into gunfire, wouldn't you want your best friend to have the same protection as you?

  23. The US education system is dead. All schools should be eliminated and an alternative education system put into place.

  24. Unfortunately, "cuts" aren't always based on ability. Say, one kid comes from a family of modest means and would be good enough to make the cut, but another kid isn't quite good enough, but his or her dad is a big athletic booster. Guess who makes the "cut"?

Yeah, I know, life ain't fair. Get over it and move on.

  25. because why inspire to get better when you can just bitch to the authorities (in this case, bitch to the school district) that your kid didnt get in…my god, wtf happened to us

  26. Very bad juju here. Cheerleading isn't even that serious of an issue.
But, it matters as much as anything else when you consider the socialist agenda that is behind this.
    This is president Obama's "LEGACY".
    It's disgusting and alarming.

  27. Everyone makes the cheerleading squad or no one does? And this is a public school?
Okay since this situation is new to this school remind them that the mats that schools are now providing only do so much. Yes girls can do more difficult things with the "safety" of a mat but that doesn't mean a fall on the mat can prevent someone from dying, being paralyzed or becoming seriously injured. Put some one at the base of a pyramid that shouldn't be there and it all comes tumbling down. If some one seriously hurts them self the school gets sued. This is a liability.
Lets not forget the added expense of uniforms. Not "everyone" is going to fit into the uniforms that the school has so that means they need to buy all new ones.
And since "everyone" can cheer that means the special needs kids too. Because you can't say "everyone" then discriminate against special needs kids. So that means they will have to hire an additional special needs coach to help the kids with learning disabilities learn the cheers better.
Not only is this unfair to the current cheerleaders because they have to dumb themselves down cheer wise, but it's also going to be more expensive this way and very expensive if some one gets hurt and sues.

And sadly I'm sorry to say this, but current cheerleaders at this school, have you seen the movie "American Beauty"?
Watch the scene with the cheerleader/dance squad/ whatever they are. Because that will show you what you are in for. Realize that with these new rules your routines are going to be lamer then that one. And your difficulty level will go down. It's not good. Explain to the main decision maker that this is an expensive and dangerous choice. Because they don't care that it's not fair to you. So remind them how much more it will cost and how much more it will potentially cost them if something goes wrong.

  28. I remember when I first tried out for my squad, I didn't make it and I was really sad about it. UNTIL I went back through my memory and realized wher I "messed up". It wasn't a big mess up, but it stuck out enough that I didn't make the squad. So I made sure to fix the mistake and try out the next year. And I made it. I personally want to see this girl's tryout because if she was close then they could have made her an alternate. If she was way off, then she needs to work harder. What's the since of tryouts? They'll just put up a list the kids put their name on the list and you meet with parents and kids and discuss how much the uniforms cost. Another note is that when you have novice with actual cheer athletes (meaning they can cheer, dance, tumble, split the whole 9) it brings down the quality of the performance, unless they don't include them for performances, but then we're back where we started. This girl is going to have a rough year. I was the odd one out on my squad and though I worked my ass off to be on that squad, the fact that I wasn't into the same things like the rest of them they would include me in things, but I was excluded because no body bothered to ask what do I like to do and really try to get to know me. That's my Rant.

  29. Seemingly intelligent people, making such horrible decisions… When you've been brainwashed by the new found religion of political correctness, anything is possible:(

  30. I could literally see another country taking over the US in the distance future if this pussification of America keep going on. It seems society is getting weaker and weaker every day all anybody do is cry.

  31. Tell your boss at your job that you do not want to follow the rules and see what happens. You can not follow the rules and do what you want it would just be somewhere else.

  32. More snowflakes. STOP helping lazy people. The Left/Socialist crowd just wants to take away incentives and give everyone food stamps, tv and a couch. Sloths.

  33. I spend Thousands and Thousands of dollars a year! For daughter's training wth this is horrible. We can't just give everyone everything they want! U can't just throw a fit to get your way! When I was a kid we kept score now they don't what is going on!

  34. This is why we have a generation of opioid addicts. More damn liberal crap. So if the NFL does not draft you, do you think you can cry about it and then they will take you? This is not real life, this is where entitlement comes from.

  35. Cheerleaders can kiss my ass, anyway. Cancel the fucking team, if a no-cut policy hurts so damn much!

  36. Girl you are bad at cheerleading get over it why force the team to include you to a team you are not good enough at! I did my trials I was not ready that's a sign you need to train more and try next time! Fucking participation for everyone!

  37. I tried out for the cheer team, didn’t make it and I was fine. I didn’t cry. In the real world, you are filled with rejections; you can cry about it but you have to let it go. Can’t always get what you want

  38. Saw where one girl (who didn't get cut) crying that all her hard work was wasted. Did they disband the cheerleading squad entirely? Why is she upset

  39. And those who don't make the cut after trying so hard makes them depressed, unworthy their self esteem is brought down. Oh, I suppose that's better right? WRONG!

  40. WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL? SO WHAT IF EVERYONE CAN BE A CHEERLEADING THE MORE THE MERRIER!! IT'S NOT LIKE ANYONE EVEN NOTICES THEM NEVERTHELESS CHEER THEM ON.
