Everything Twas (A Holiday Film)

I promise. I’ll be back before you even notice.
I can’t believe you’re leaving so soon. You’ll be gone for Christmas over there, our first Christmas together and we won’t even see each other. I’ll write you every chance I get. I promise, don’t cry, please don’t cry. I’ve got a surprise for you. I don’t care, I don’t want anything but you. Close your eyes. Five, Four, Three, Two, One…Happy New Year!! It’s my last night before I ship off!
I don’t care, I can’t believe you are leaving me all alone for the holidays! Your, future husband? I remember when I got this… It was so…bright….it was… first Christmas… You have to move on and have new beginnings OK? Are your eyes still closed? No Peaking. I’m not! They’re closed! Now I know I promised you a big Christmas tree this year, but, well it doesn’t seem
like I’ll be able to get that for you. So I want you to take this instead, just temporarily. Open your eyes. I know he isn’t much, but this little guy will have to do the job, and
then next year, I promise, we’ll trade him in for the greenest, biggest, best tree in the lot. I love it! Oh, come back soon baby! You won’t even notice I’m gone. And heck, if you do get lonely, or miss me, all you
have to do is turn this tree on, and remember I’ll be back soon. Plus, you have your own,
very important war time assignment. When I get back, I’m gonna wanna hear if you’ve figured
out where next year’s big tree is going to go in this small apartment. I love you. I love you so much.
