My overall heart envisioned for the
cheerleading team here at Grace College is that we would have an experience that
from freshman year to senior year, you develop your gifts and
talents for the Lord, for the Kingdom. I kinda have three focuses that I go for and each year it’s a bit different. But this year, one of them is that “We’ve got your back.” And all of us on the team had the same goal that is to support our teams, so we’re to support Grace College, we’re to support the teachers, our classmates, but most importantly when were at a game were supporting our players, and so in that, I want our players to know that we have got their back in prayer, in support, and in encouragement. The second thing is “I am second,” and I just I always want to remind our team and
each one of us needs to know that God is first and we are always second. It’s just something I that even like
when you get a job, when you leave, remember that everyone else around you for looking out for them first I just think that is amazing, and a good gift to have. And the third thing is “Not A Fan,” and there’s a book our right now about that, and Iove you it because I don’t want us to be fans on the side lines, I want us to be followers. We don’t just come and cheer
when someone is doing something good. A follower is someone who is dedicated. To be a follower of Jesus, is everyday dedication in the good and in the bad. Because he is always there with us. We always want to be there for each other, for the team, for the school, and for everything we stand for. So when we put on the Grace College uniform, I’m not just a fan, they are not just fans they are followers, dedicated followers of what Grace College stands for and what Jesus Christ stands for. I want to see each and every athlete grow in their skills and their talents. I love to see us grow from an individual when we all come in; from all different schools with all different coaches, all different ways of learning and be able to compile that in to one awesome unified team so that when you leave, you have a whole new perspective of the gift and talent God has given you.
