-If people haven’t seen it, you’re looking for
the world’s greatest dancer. -Yes, in the world. -In the world.
And the winner gets $1 million. -$1 million. [ Cheers and applause ]
Which, by the way… As you know, that
doesn’t happen for a dancer. You could work your entire life
and not make $1 million. It’s not compensated
in the right way. So this was a huge deal for us. We just wanted to be part of it. -You are a dancer.
-Yes. -But if this competition was
around when you were, like, out doing —
‘Cause I want to talk about Janet Jackson
for a second. -Oh, are you a massive Janet fan
like I am? -I am a Janet fan, yeah.
-[ Gasps ] -I mean, I’m like,
the number 5… -I saw it in your eyes.
-…4, 3, 2… -Yeah, do, do…
-Yeah, “Rhythm Nation,” yeah. -Yes. Amazing.
-What tour were on with Janet Jackson?
-I did “All For You.” -[ Gasps ]
-Which was 2001, I think? Some Janet fan’s going to
correct me on that, but I think it was 2001.

dream come true. I mean, it was, like,
my Oprah vision-board moment. You know?
I learned it from the TV when I was in high school. I was, like, obsessed
with Janet. -She’s the greatest.
-Obsessed. She’s the best. -I worked with her

“Cork Soakers,” and she was fantastic.

-Just awesome. And, she’s Janet, yeah.
-Yeah. So yeah, for me,
the show would’ve been, like, ultimate dream to be on. It was just — I was like,
“I have to do this.” That was my main goal.
-But that’s what makes you great ’cause you’re seen it.
You’ve kind of been through the whole thing.
You get to talk to these people, these contestants,

-Yeah. -…if they don’t make it,
and if they do make it. It’s both sides.

I laugh with them. I’m like an annoying cheerleader

It’s like I’m a mama bear back there, ’cause I know
what it feels like. I’ve had to go out,
I’ve had to perform, high-stakes like this. I mean, some of them are 14. -Have you ever made a mistake,
like, on the Janet tour? -Well, yes. -But no one saw it.
-Well, just the whole concert of, you know, a stadium. I was doing —
I fall all the time on stage and in life. It’s just something
that happens. -That makes us besties, yeah.

on this show. But you know what I’m talking
about, so, I’m doing the dance, I’m up on a platform. I take a step, I fall directly
into the audience. -Off the stage?
-On the fans, yes. Off the stage.
Like, you see me, you don’t see me.
Like, I just literally went… [ Landing sound ]
like, on the ground. -This is pre-stage diving.
-This was not a — Yeah. -This was not a stage dive.
-Not Nirvana. This is not Pearl Jam, yeah.
-This was like — yeah. I feel. I totally fell.
-[ Gasps ] Wow. -And for the next week,
Janet and all the dancers were rewinding it and playing it
and laughing at me. [ Laughter ]
And some of the Janet fans came to the next concert
with, like, a shirt made of me, of, like, a stick figure,
like, falling off the stage. [ Laughter ]
I mean, I was so embarrassed. Like, you know, I’m 19. This is, like,
the most embarrassing thing. I’ve fallen so many times,

-I know how it goes. -But this, I think that it’s
just a great show, it’s fun. Also, we love
Jennifer Lopez so much. -Oh, yes.
