Good morning Irmo Middle School. Today is February the 19th. I’m Tamarae. And I’m Owen. And welcome to The Buzz! Before we start our morning announcements, let us have a moment of
silence followed by the pledge. Now let’s stand for the pledge. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands,
one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Students, if you’re interested in learning or

now over. I need all cheerleaders to return their uniforms, freshly washed, in
a bag with your name on it by February 21st. If you have an outstanding balance
that needs to be paid, make sure that you pay it before thinking of trying out
next year. Our school will be participating in the Fireflies reading program presented by Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital. You have the
opportunity to improve your reading skills while earning gifts and a ticket
to a Fireflies baseball game. You will also receive a free hot dog, chips, and a drink
to enjoy at the game. All you have to do is read beginning February 19th and ending
March 21st. IMS’s game day will be held May 5th at 6:05, and our very own chorus
will be singing the national anthem. The Firefly reading program is divided
into four segments representing a base on the baseball field. When you
complete a segment, you advance the next base. The goal is to hit a home run. All
