Turning a Cheerleader into a Gymnast!

Turning a Cheerleader into a Gymnast!

Hi, I’m Megan. I’m Ciera, and I’m Maggie and we’re from The Cheernastics2 Megan: Welcome to TC Tuesday
Ciera: So, before we get started, did you guys see something? Ciera: A little fresh, a little new Maggie: Our channel looks different Megan: Yeah it does Megan: Um, we had our own intro for over two years, so it’s really weird that we are making a change but Megan: Since our channel is changing and we’re getting a little more mature Megan: We decided that we should give our channel a little makeover for when me and Ciera Megan: Go off to college and just update it a little bit Maggie: Hopefully you guys enjoy it
Ciera: Hopefully you guys like it, we like it a lot Ciera: It looks really cute
Megan: The T, C, 2 is all hidden in the logo, so if you didn’t catch that Megan: Go look for it.
Ciera: Yeah, and our new banner. We’ve got some fitness gear Ciera: Make our channel more open to fitness instead of just cheer and gymnastics Maggie: So, [inaudible] Megan: Other than that, today’s video we are going to be transforming Maggie, who is a cheerleader Megan: And we’re going to be turning her into a gymnast Ciera: So this is kind of like the “Cheerleader tries Gymnastics”, this would be like Round 4 Ciera: But since Maggie has like a sprained thumb and because we wanted to focus more on the looks aspect of it Ciera: We’re going to just mostly focus on the transformation and we’ll obviously do like a couple of gymnastics things at the end Ciera: But stuff that she can do with her hurt thumb
Maggie: So I’m going to become a gymnast today Megan: Before we get started, make sure you guys subscribe to our channel by pressing the red button down below Ciera: And if you want to become a part of our Notification Squad, then click the bell Maggie: And let’s get started Megan: Alright the first part of Maggie’s transformation is going to be the hair Megan: So she has her hair up in a bow like most cheerleaders do Megan: It’s obviously not full cheer competition hair but this is what we’re starting off with Megan: So I’m going to go ahead and let’s just take everything out Megan: Today when I do Maggie’s hair, I am going for a French braid down the middle Megan: And then we’re going to put it into the famous collagen gymnast bun Megan: Add a scrunchy and it’ll be perfect, what is this? Perfect! Okay, let’s get started Megan: Next we finish off the French braid by just braiding the rest up Megan: Alright I just finished Maggie’s hair, hopefully this looks pretty familiar if you’re a fan of college gymnastics Megan: Because this is what 90% of their [inaudible] hair looks like, at least in my opinion, I think it turned out pretty good Megan: Now you look pretty good as a gymnast so far, but Ciera’s going to go ahead and do Maggie’s make up next Ciera: So now I’m going to be doing Maggie’s makeup Ciera: She’s not really wearing like the whole cheer, like glitz and glam makeup right now Maggie: I’m not wearing any makeup right now
Ciera: [Laughing] Can you describe it? Maggie: Um, a lot of it, some teams do glitter, a lot of teams used to do glitter and stuff Maggie: Now it’s more just like bold, smoky eyes, like really pop Maggie: Highlighter, everyone does the highlight right here, like the glitter’s right here. Really just [gestures] Maggie: Look how my face is, that’s how everyone for cheer wants it Ciera: Okay, so how I’m going to do Maggie’s makeup kind of like emulating how, in my opinion, college gymnasts do their makeup Ciera: It’s like kind of subtle, but like also like really classy, in my opinion Ciera: Yeah, and they usually have like lipstick on but we don’t have lipstick Ciera: So, we’re not putting lipstick on. Ciera: But basically, to kind of keep it a little bit simple, I’m just going to put on some eyeshadow, some highlighter, some mascara Ciera: And we also have her a tattoo Ciera: Because, as you know, college gymnasts got to be representing their schools when they’re competing Ciera: So, let’s get started Ciera: So Maggie’s makeup is done. Now it’s time to add the school spirit sticker. I thought this was a tattoo Ciera: I’m pretty sure they usually use tattoos, but this is just a little adhesive thing Ciera: Go red, how cute!
Megan: Oh, now you look like a gymnast Ciera: So now that Maggie’s facial transformation is complete Ciera: It’s time to finish off the look
Megan: So we are going to give her some Nike pros Ciera: And a leotard Ciera: We’re going for an Oklahoma gymnastics kind of vibe Maggie: So like watch out, Maggie Megan: So, Maggie Nichols, Maggie Atcheson is coming for ya Megan: So, she’s going to go ahead and go change into these real quick for the finaltransformation Maggie: Here I go Megan: Come on in, let us see Ciera: I like
Megan: I like, I like Maggie: Oklahoma, on my way Megan: So, this came together well Maggie: Do I look like a gymnast
Ciera: You do Megan: So, now that Maggie looks like a gymnast, it’s time for us to have her do a few things that gymnasts do Maggie: Let’s see if I can make Oklahoma, guys Ciera: Oklahoma, if you’re watching this is her –
Maggie: This is my tryout video Megan: So, let’s go Ciera: So now it’s time to start doing some gymnastics. We’re going to start with a warmup Ciera: I’m going to be showing Maggie what to do and then she’s going to copy me Maggie: So, best of luck to me honestly Ciera: So first we’re going to do some needles, make sure every time you do a needle you do your other leg Ciera: And then your arms stay by your ears the whole time Ciera: So I’ll start, needle Ciera: Arms up Maggie: Needle, kick kick Maggie: Again?
Ciera: Yeah one more Maggie: Hold on Maggie: Needle, kick kick Maggie: Needle, OW Ciera: So that’s what we do to stretch out our splits a little bit Ciera: So, we’ll start off with leaps Ciera: So chasse, arms in a tee Ciera: And then, you’ll do chasse step Ciera: So like float off the mat like, get that full split, arms in a tee Maggie: Okay, she makes it look really easy, but like is going to look terrible Maggie: Arms like this?
Ciera: yeah Ciera: Chasse, step bad leg, leap good leg Maggie: Chasse, that’s my good leg though Ciera: Then you step
Maggie: Oh okay Ciera: That was pretty good
Maggie: I tried hard Ciera: Got timing down and everything
Maggie: I’m going to try it again Ciera: You just gotta get more height on that leap. You’re staying at the same height as when you’re walking Megan: Alright, so we have moved onto beam, we’re going to teach Maggie how to do a full turn on beam Megan: She can do it sometimes but we’re going to try and teach how to do it a little bit better Megan: So, stand up on the beam Megan: Okay, so your good leg – you’re going to have that in front Megan: Your right leg and you’re going to act like you’re holding a deep ball coming off Megan: To the side, yes like that, pretty hands Megan: And then when you go up, you’re going to bring your arms up by your ears Megan: You’re going to want to go on relevé, which just means your tippy toes Megan: And then your other foot is going to come either by your knee or you can have it down a little lower or anywhere in between Megan: And that’s the position you spin in Megan: Just give it a go like that and then I’ll try and give you some tips to land it Megan: We’re on a hill, so that may be kinda hard. Arms like this, you’re going to kick, up Maggie: My foot fell off!
Megan: You’re going to really have to try and make sure that foot stays on the beam Megan: On your tip toes! Megan: Honestly, if you fall off like I know, it’s fine Maggie: Yeah!
Megan: Okay. Let’s do that one more time Megan: And up tall! Megan: That was pretty good! And if you really wanna be dramatic for the finish Megan: You step forward, dip a little bit and stand up tall Megan: We hope you guys that like this video Megan: If you did it make sure you give it a thumbs up our like goal for this video is going to be 15,000 likes Ciera: And if you want a chance to be the pinned comment, comment down below if you are a gymnast or a cheerleader Maggie: Also, make sure you guys come back Friday because Maggie: It’s our last video altogether
Ciera: Yeah, this week is our last week together Maggie: If you don’t understand, make sure you really come back Friday because we explain it more at the end of the video Megan: So otherwise you can go back and watch our video, we’ll put an information button Megan: Of like what is happening to our channel. Is The Cheernastics2 ending? Megan: That’s what the video is, you can go watch that too Ciera: Otherwise Ciera: Make sure you guys really come back, like you got enjoy it while we’re all together Ciera: And then we’re off to new adventures, with separate videos Megan: And if you’re confused you’re really going to want to come back, but we also think it’s going to like Friday’s video Megan: So that’s another reason to come back
Ciera: And we will see you then Bye ~
