Woman wanted, accused of taking cheer leaders’ uniform money, disappearing

MORE COVERAGE ON THAT STORY AHEAD. IN THE MEANTIME ONLY ON WLWT A LOCAL TEAM MOM ACCUSED OF STEALING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FROM HER DAUGHTER’S ALL-STAR CHEERLEADING TEAM. PARENTS SAY THAT THEY EACH PAID MORE THAN $300 FOR UNIFORMS AND ENDED UP WITH NOTHING. KARIN JOHNSON LIVE RIGHT NOW IN FAIRFIELD FOR US WHERE THERE IS A WARRANT OUT FOR THIS MOTHER’S ARREST. I CONFIRMED WITH FAIRFIELD POLICE THAT THERE ARE NOW THREE OUTSTANDING WARRANTS FOR 34-YEAR-OLD ROBIN ROBINSON. SHE WAS TEAM MOM FOR THE OHIO PINK PANTHERS, IN CHARGE MUCH THE MONEY AND BUYING THE GIRLS’ UNIFORMS. LOOK AT MY BABY FLIGHT. WHEN THEIR DAUGHTERS MADE THE OHIO PINK PANTHERS ALL-STAR CHEERLEADING TEAM THE MOMS COULDN’T HAVE BEEN MORE PROUD. IT KEEPS THEM POSITIVE, IT KEEPS THEM TOGETHER AS LITTLE GIRLS. BUT THE EXPERIENCE INTENDED TO BUILD SELF-ESTEEM FOR INNER-CITY YOUNG GIRLS ENDED IN DISAPPOINTMENT. THIS IS PRETTY UPSETTING. AND LIES. LIE AFTER LIE, ROBIN EVEN LIED TO THE PARENTS. ROBIN ROBINSON WAS THE TEAM MOM RESPONSIBLE FOR COLLECTING MONEY, $310 PER CHEERLEADER SO THE GIRLS COULD GET NEW UNIFORMS ABOUT $6,500 IN ALL, MONEY THESE PARENTS SAY THEY NEVER SAW AGAIN AND UNIFORMS THEY NEVER RECEIVED. COACHES SAY THEY THEN HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO CANCEL THE SEASON. THESE KIDS BASICALLY WAS IN TEARS. I WOULDN’T THINK NOBODY WOULD IN THEIR RIGHT MIND DO THIS TO KIDS. A DOZEN PARENTS FILED COMPLAINTS WITH FAIRFIELD POLICE. THEFT CHARGES WERE FILED BUT ROBINSON NEVER SHOWED UP FOR HER COURT APPEARANCE LAST FEBRUARY. IT’S ALMOST BEEN A YEAR. FOR THE LAST YEAR POLICE SAY THEY HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO TRACK HER ON YOU. OUR EFFORTS TO REACH ROBINSON TODAY WERE ALSO UNSUCCESSFUL. THESE MOMS SAY THEY KNOW SHE IS STILL IN TOWN. WE SAW HER THIS WEEKEND. THEY SPOTTED ROBINSON AT HER DAUGHTER’S DANCE COMPETITION IN CINCINNATI. I JUST WANT SOMETHING TO BE DONE TO LET HER KNOW SHE CAN’T DO THIS TO KID AND TAKE PEOPLE’S MONEY. AND THE PARENTS I SPOKE WITH TODAY SAY WHEN THEY SAW ROBINSON THIS WEEKEND THEY DID REPORT IT TO CINCINNATI POLICE BUT FOR SOME REASON THE WARRANTS DID NOT SHOW UP IN THE SYSTEM. RIGHT NOW WE ARE STILL WORKING ON IT TO TRY AND FIGURE OUT WHY THAT WAS AS I DID CONFIRM WITH BOTH THE COURTS IN FAIRFIELD AND THE POLICE DEPARTMENT THAT SHE HAS ACTIVE WARRANTS OUT ON HER. REPORTING LIVE TONIGHT IN NARE FIELD, KARIN JOHNSON, WLWT NEWS 5. WE DID TRY TO REACH WOULD
